Tsuut’ina Mental Health

Case Management, Crisis Support & School Therapists

Our team has a unique partnership with Tsuut’ina Child & Family Services

We support individuals in multiple different mental health streams of support. Through this collaboration, we strive to ensure that individuals and families receive care that is not only clinically effective, but also grounded in respect, relationship, and community wisdom.

Our Clinical Mental Health Case Managers work with clients 5-26 years of age for 1:1 therapy, advocating for mental health resources, attending psychiatry and physician appointments, mental health assessments, behavioural care plans, safety planning, addiction and trauma treatment referral support. Our case manager therapists can be found in our SE office, working out of group homes, schools, visiting clients in hospital, at the CFS building and directly within the community. Case managers offer short and long term support to clients depending on needs and goals.

Our Clinical Crisis team provides assistance to Tsuut’ina Nation CFS clients who require additional help, such as respite for families, support for youth in hospital, or response to community crises including the loss of a loved one, suicide, or assault.

Our Clinical School Therapists work directly within Tsuut’ina Nation schools (Chief Big Belly, Dodginghorse High School, and Chiila Elementary), providing weekly one-to-one therapy for students involved with Child & Family Services. Services may include art and play therapy, narrative and talk-based approaches, cognitive behavioural therapy, and in-house referrals for psychoeducational assessments.

Please note our therapy case managers and crisis support clinicians work collectively with the nation Child & Family Services – we only accept direct referrals from CFS. There is no direct cost for this service for participants. If you are looking to connect with your assigned staff member please reach out to our general email.
